Kentucky celebrated win over Florida in perfect, delicious fashion

Kentucky celebrated its big road win over division rival Florida by chowing down on some gator.

Kentucky had some fun celebrating its big SEC win over Florida by chomping on some gator.

The Wildcats improved to 2-0 and No. 9 in the country by beating division rival Florida in The Swamp on Saturday night. It was the signature game in primetime, featuring two of the best quarterbacks in the country in Anthony Richardson for the Gators and Will Levis for the Wildcats. Not so surprisingly, the better team won in Gainesville anyway, as Mark Stoops has UK humming.

Is that a bacon-wrapped gator? You better believe it is! It may taste like chicken but Levis will eat anything. If this is a new tradition for UK, is it ethical to eat a penguin? No, don’t be silly, or gross!

Kentucky chomps down on some gator to celebrate the big win over Florida

Assuming wins over Youngstown State and Northern Illinois, Kentucky should be 4-0 heading into another huge road game at Ole Miss. The Wildcats might have the better squad over the Rebels, who reloaded massively in the portal. Even if the ‘Cats fall in Oxford, they still have the schedule to win 10 regular-season games. They do host Vanderbilt, Georgia and Louisville to end the season…

Cross-divisional foe Mississippi State will be challenging, but the Wildcats get the Bulldogs in Lexington. At Tennessee could be problematic, but Kentucky has its bye week to prepare for another one of its rivals. To be frank, Kentucky looks to be Georgia’s biggest challenger in the East this season. If they win 10 games, we could see Stoops’ team finally play in a New Year’s Six bowl.

Ultimately, we may have just crossed that threshold to where Kentucky football is expected to beat inferior teams, like Florida with a new head coach. However, we are in the midst of the golden age of UK football under Stoops. He could stay in perpetuity, but we need to enjoy it while it lasts. If Kirk Ferentz retires or Mike Norvell gets fired, guess who will be a top candidate for both gigs?

Even if eating a bacon-wrapped gator is not everyone’s cup of Joe, you know Levis had seconds!
