Watch USMNT vs. Wales live stream World Cup 2022 group stage

The USMNT embarks on their World Cup journey on Monday, Nov. 21 at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan, Qatar. Here’s what to know before you watch the game.

The United States, back at the World Cup after for the first time since 2014, take on Wales on Monday at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in the Qatari city of Al Rayyan.

The USMNT are in Group B along with England and Iran. The Americans, favored by some to advance to the knockout stage, will need to grab points against Wales in order to keep those hopes alive.

The United States has a roster stacked with young talent, including Christian Pulisic, Tyler Adams, Tim Weah and Weston McKennie. The Americans are coached by Gregg Berhalter, who played at the World Cup in 2022 when the USMNT reached the quarterfinals.

Wales, meanwhile, reached the World Cup by winning their European playoff game against Ukraine. They have several offensive weapons and are led by veteran striker Gareth Bale, who recently won the MLS Cup with Los Angeles FC.

“I think that, at least to the American media, I think Wales is underrated,” USMNT manager Gregg Berhalter told reporters. “When I look at their squad, it’s basically a Premier League squad.”
